I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
